Bashkortostan signed agreement on football development with Russian Sports Ministry and RFU
By the end of 2024, it is planned to build a full-size football arena and a stadium for more than 1,500 seats in Bashkortostan, modernize six full-size fields and five futsal grounds in several municipalities.
This was announced by the Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin after signing an agreement between the federal ministry, the Russian Football Union (RFU), the Government of Bashkortostan, and the regional football federation on the development of this sport in the republic.
The document was signed by the Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin, President of the RFU Alexander Dyukov, Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, and Chairman of the Republican Football Federation Rinat Shaibekov.
According to the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, football, without overstating it, can be named one of the most popular and widespread sports disciplines in Bashkortostan.
– The Government of Bashkortostan is taking concrete steps in this direction. There are more and more football grounds in the republic every year, the construction of an indoor football arena is underway. By the 450th anniversary of Ufa in 2024, we plan to build a universal football stadium. The agreement that we signed is a significant event that should give a new impetus to the football development in Bashkortostan and become an incentive for new victories, – Radiy Khabirov said.
RFU President Alexander Dyukov noted that Bashkortostan is a region with a rich football history and traditions. More than 65 thousand people regularly play football here; 60 infrastructure facilities function.
