Rustem Khamitov marched in "Immortal Regiment" column
Yesterday in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part in a march in the framework of the "Immortal Regiment" All-Russian patriotic campaign.
The head of the republic marched in a column with a portrait of his grandfather. Sungatullah Izmailov went off to war in 1941. He fought in the infantry at the Leningrad front and was awarded medals. In 1943, he was wounded, returned home disabled.
Bashkortostan joined the "Immortal Regiment" campaign for the fifth time. The column of tens of thousands of residents of our republic, with photographs of their relatives — participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, passed along October Avenue in Ufa.
