Mikhail Babich delivered report at Legislators Association meeting in Ufa
The Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich took part in a 52nd meeting of the Association of Legislative (Representative) State Authorities of the Subjects of the Russian Federation of the Volga Federal District.
Opening the meeting, Mikhail Babich noted that over the years of joint work of the Plenipotentiary Envoy Office and members of the Association, strategic issues had been resolved, and legislative foundations for the activity of the business ombudsmen institution had been created. Together with the Association, much work was done to promote proposals for improving migration legislation at the federal level.
The Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the country drew attention to the need to take legislative measures in order to exclude situations when persons having criminal records could occupy municipal offices, and also to make it impossible to stay in the municipal service of those serving a conditional sentence.
In addition, the event discussed the issues of reporting income to the heads of regions by persons who take up municipal offices and the posts of heads of local administrations. Besides, the upcoming presidential elections and measures to preserve law and order during the electoral process were discussed.
