In the next few years, six new gas-filling compressor stations will be built in Bashkortostan for refueling vehicles with methane. This was reported by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov at a meeting of the Commission for Regional Policy of PJSC Gazprom.
According to him, the agreement on the construction of CNG stations was reached during a meeting with the Chairman of the Management Board of the company Alexei Miller last week.
"We have discussed quite a lot of questions. We also talked about development of gas-filling stations network in the republic", Rustem Khamitov said. "The Republic of Bashkortostan is the leader in the Russian Federation in this sphere. And we will continue to retain this position bearing in mind active work of our competitors".
Currently, 12 gas-filling stations belonging to the Gazprom Group operate in the territory of the region.
"We talked with Alexey Miller about the need to build six more stations in the next couple of years. This will be quite good, significant contribution of the corporation to the transport gasification in our republic", stressed Rustem Khamitov. "In turn, we are committed to make a significant amount of vehicles running on gas. I think that we will make this work done".
