Rustem Khamitov met with the Western Java province delegation
On August 2, in the House of the Government of Bashkortostan a meeting of the official delegation of the Western Java Province in the Republic of Indonesia took place. The sides discussed the priority areas of cooperation, including those related to agriculture.
Within the framework of a meeting an intentions protocol was signed on cooperation development with this province in trade-economic, investment, scientific-technical, social-humanitarian and cultural spheres. The document was signed by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Governor of the Western Java Province Ahmad Heryawan.
The Republic of Indonesia is among the foreign economic partners of Bashkortostan. In recent years, the largest volume of mutual trade was registered in 2013 — $ 78.9 million, as a result of a large supply of aircraft turbojet engines to Indonesia. Traditionally, synthetic rubber and unrefined sulfur are exported there. The basis of imports is composed by different equipment. Last year, the volume of foreign trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Indonesia amounted to 807 thousand dollars, and for five months in 2017 the volume of turnover exceeded the indicator of 2016 by 1.5 times.
