Bashkiria enterprises are represented at the international air show MAKS-2017
The 13th International Aviation and Space Salon — MAKS-2017 – was opened in the Moscow region of Zhukovsky on July 18. The machine-building and aircraft manufacturers of Bashkortostan presented their products at the venues of the largest air show.
One of the largest machine-building plants of the country — the Ufa Engine-Building Production Association (UMPO) — participates in the general exposition of United Engine-Building Corporation JSC (UDC). The association presented a full-size model of the turbojet engine "4 ++" AL-41F-1C (installed on Su-35 multipurpose fighters), which allows the aircrafts to develop supersonic speed without using an afterburner.
Also the UDC stand for the first time at MAKS features components for civil aircraft engines manufactured at UMPO.
Earlier, as part of the UDC order, the Ufa enterprise launched production of turbojet engines AL-31F for Su-33 deck fighters that are part of the aircraft group of the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, the government of the republic reports.
Traditionally, the MAKS participants in the Moscow region were Bashkir Kumertau Aircraft Production Enterprise, JSC and UPPO, JSC, now part of the "Helicopters of Russia" holding company and the concern "Radioelectronic Technologies", respectively.
The International Aviation and Space Salon is held every two years at the Ramenskoye airfield in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region.
The organizers of the exhibition are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Rostec state corporation. The main objective of MAKS is to demonstrate achievements of Russian high tech and receptiveness of the domestic Russian market to joint projects with foreign partners. The salon is held under the patronage of the Russian President since 1993.
