Rustem Khamitov signed decree on preparation and holding of Summer International Children's Games 2019 in Ufa
The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov signed a decree on preparation and holding of the 53rd Summer International Children's Games in Ufa in 2019.
According to the document, the Games will be held in the capital of Bashkortostan in June-July 2019.
The Government of the republic, together with the organizing committee, is instructed to develop and approve an appropriate action plan and cost estimate by December 1, 2017, as well as to identify sources for expenditures funding.
The Summer International Children's Games 2019 will include competitions in ten sports that will be held at sports facilities in the capital of Bashkortostan.
Previously, Ufa hosted the 6th Winter International Children's Games 2013. The competitions were attended by teams from 60 cities in 20 countries. The athletes competed for about 170 medals in seven sports.
The capital of Bashkortostan will be the only city in the world in the history of the International Children's Games, which hosted both winter and summer competitions.
