Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting on "Safe City" system functioning
In the House of the Republic the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a working meeting on the "Safe City" system functioning. It was discussed issues related to the development of a comprehensive security system enabling to control the situation on roads and in transport, in public places, to respond in a timely manner to natural and man-made disasters, to conduct ongoing monitoring of the environmental situation.
"I hope that after the implementation of the full scope of the system considered today, the lives of our townspeople and villagers will be more comfortable and safety of our citizens will increase", said the Head of the Republic.
Responding to a reporter's question Rustem Khamitov commented on the situation related to the haze in Ufa.
"It was necessary to establish a source of this haze, the origin of this natural phenomenon, which we have never experienced before. Everything is absolutely calm at our plants. After the explosion and fire that occurred at the Bashneft Company a large commission comprised of representatives of ministries, federal, republican agencies works now at Ufaneftekhim plant. It is clear that today the plant meets absolutely all requirements that apply to such companies. It was always like this. The fact is that online automatic air control stations are installed along the perimeter of the plant, which every day, every hour upload the data to the Ministry of Ecology of our republic. There was no exceeding the maximum allowable concentration a week ago, or Friday-Saturday, nor today", said the Head of the Republic.
The Head of the Region said that he had spoken to the heads of all surrounding entities – everywhere the situation was quite the same. Regarding rumors of fires in the Khanty-Mansiysk district, Rustem Khamitov said that there were no fire beds there. According to the Head of the Republic, there are fires in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. Another great source of fire is located in Krasnoyarsk Territory.
