Bashkortostan and Finland strengthen mutual cooperation at legislative level
The Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Finland Alexander Rumyantsev. The meeting was held within the framework of a three-day visit of the official delegation from our republic.
According to the press service of the regional parliament, earlier relationships between Bashkortostan and Finland related mainly the trade and economic sphere. Our republic exports chemical products, ferrous metals, plywood. Imports consist of chemical products, paper products, machinery and vehicles.
The parties discussed possible ways of cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres, as well as in other areas of economic activity. A particular attention was paid to prospects of strengthening cooperation at the legislative level to explore best practices and exchange of experience. During the visit, a meeting with representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Finland is scheduled.
