Rustem Mardanov is visiting Iran as part of the Russian delegation
On April 18, a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, of the Russian delegation led by the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Igor Barinov started. The delegation included the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov.
It is planned to discuss with Iranian counterparts implementation of bilateral cooperation projects, including the organization in 2017 of the Russian-Iranian Socio-Cultural Forum in Russia. During the visit, the sides will exchange experience on domestic construction, preserving national culture in the context of globalization, prevention of extremism on ethnic and religious grounds, as well as familiarity with a model of Islamic education, the press service of Bashkortostan Government informs.
The Russian delegation will visit Adiyan University and the third largest city of Iran — Isfahan, where there are a large number of monuments of Islamic architecture of 11th-19th centuries.
Recall that on April 11 in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities. The meeting was focused on the implementation of national policies.
