Rustem Khamitov has met with President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov

On February 4, at the House of the Republic the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov. The meeting discussed the development prospects of the company's activities in the region.

“Regarding our joint work it is quite satisfactory, but not at a high level in terms of volume. But in terms of mutual support, we are up to the standard”, Rustem Khamitov said. “We have to think about how to promote our further joint work, what new we can do in this part and how we can restructure some of our activities.”

Vagit Alekperov, in turn, said that in Ufa a sales centre for petroleum products was established covering nine regions of Russia.

“Here we have created a centre. This is not just a regional structure; it is an organization that works from the Yamal-Nenets District to Orenburg and from Tatarstan to the Far East. That is, the centre is located here,” he stressed.

The Head of Bashkortostan said that LUKOIL company was important for the economy of our republic.

“We receive about 300 million rubles of taxes a year despite the fact that the company is engaged only in sale of oil products in our territory. Earnings ratio to the taxes is very good”, Rustem Khamitov said. “In this part there are prospects for increasing the chain of filling stations. In addition, we think about future projects in terms of efficient use of fuel. We work with the company on energy efficiency issues.”

PJSC LUKOIL is an oil and gas company, which accounts for 16.4 percent of total Russian oil production and 15.7 percent of total Russian oil refining. With a full production cycle, the company has complete control over the entire production chain — from oil and gas extraction to oil products sale.

LLC LUKOIL-Uralnefteproduct operates in nine regions of Russia — in Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, Samara, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Tyumen region, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District — Yugra. It has its own 306 petrol stations and 183 retail service stations operating by franchising. The total volume of retail sales amounted to 1.2 million tons in 2015. Another 240 thousand tons were sold in small bulk.
