a:2:{s:4:"TEXT";s:2032:"In Bashkortostan at the National Heart Centre put into practice a new kind of high-tech medical care. December 24 surgeons of the republic under the leadership of colleagues from St. Petersburg for the first time carried out an operation with the use of modern technology - cryoablation. This type of intervention is considered a breakthrough for medicine. In world practice, he began to be used more recently in Russia - almost only in recent years. Bashkortostan, along with St. Petersburg one of the first in the country to introduce this innovative technique. Cryotechnology used to treat one of the most common types of arrhythmia - atrial fibrillation. The essence of this method lies in the high-tech cold exposure to those areas of the myocardium that are the source of the arrhythmia. The gas temperature of minus 90 degrees in the catheter delivers special equipment - cryogenerator. As the Deputy Chief of Surgery RCC Bogdan Oliynyk, operations are carried out free of charge to patients, procurement of medicines and supplies funded from the budget of the republic. Arrhythmia affects about 2% of the population of the republic. So far, the rhythm of the heart were treated only by radiofrequency ablation. The region annually more than 500 such operations. Now doctors will practice both types of surgery. According to the surgeons, the new method is preferred in more complex cases. Since RF has a risk of damage to adjacent structures of the heart, and with cryoablation, this risk is minimal. Cryoablation is a promising direction in Cardiology and has a number of advantages over the traditional method. The most important thing - a high safety for patients and greater efficiency. If before the effectiveness of the first treatment is 50-60%, after the second - 70%, while using the latest technology - more than 80%. In addition, the latter allows to achieve the best result of treatment of arrhythmia the first time.   Press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan
